Career Edge Potential Hosts - The Youth Unemployment Problem

Today's university, college and high school graduates are facing significant hurdles in securing meaningful, career-related employment. Graduates are facing a scarcity of entry-level positions accompanied by a decrease in on-campus recruitment.

Currently, there are 600,000+ graduates in Canada who are unemployed or under-employed because they can't find positions in their fields. The youth unemployment rate stands at just over 12 percent -- almost double the adult rate.

Even well-qualified young people with strong academic credentials are having difficulty finding the opportunities that will help them make the transition from full-time education to full-time employment.
